Length of Hike: 6 miles RT

1.25 miles from trailhead you will come to a junction – stay left to continue to Denny Gulch; turning right will lead to the summit of Mt. Yale (14,200 ft.).
About .6 miles after the first junction, you will come to another – turn left to find Hartenstein Lake (11,480 ft.); staying right at this junction will lead through a beautiful meadow and ascend to Brown Pass (12,000 ft.) located on the Continental Divide.
