Cascade Creek Trail
Also see Agnes Vaille Falls
Length of Hike: 1 mile RT
Difficulty: Easy
Chalk Creek meanders West to East 27 miles from the Continental Divide to the Arkansas River, passing through our beautiful Chalk Creek Canyon. This easy and beautiful trail sits just under the Chalk Cliffs, which proudly tower over Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort.
The striking white cliffs on Mount Princeton are made not of chalk but of Kaolinite, a soft rock produced by hot springs percolating through cracks in the mountain. The creek tumbles wildly in sections with chalky, white water ripples and the mesmerizing sound of rushing water.
Enjoy all of Chalk Creek and the Cliffs from this lovely trail which has rest benches along the way, as well as a waterfall viewing deck.
